Job Summary Processes and tracks government‑owned discrepant material from disposition determination through repair and/or replacement as applicable. Notifies the responsible Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) of equipment damaged during transport by Code 4.3 ILS and submits claim when applicable. Liaises with Project Leads and Contract Management Analysts keeping them aware of material arrivals, departures, and storage status. Keeps Building 1648 and other specified material warehouse locations in compliance with SPAWARINST 4440.12A, including: (1) maintaining material inventory in Building 1648 in CMPRO; (2) identifying items for long‑term storage; and (3) conducting periodic inventories of material in the Production Support Area that is in short‑term storage with Code 4.3.2 personnel (annual, spot, close‑out).
Responsibilities and Duties
Work with multiple government customers, vendors and contractors supporting the Surface Ship C4I Systems Integration Facility (C‑SIF).
Provide logistics support to platforms prior to integration testing, including receiving Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) and Contractor Furnished Equipment (CFE) into the CMPRO Database and N‑ERP, transferring GFE/CFE to contractor conducting integration and testing via DD149.
Manage storage control of the GFE/CFE to SPAWAR 4.3 control. Transport the GFE/CFE to other 4.3 storage facilities and back to Building 1648 as directed.
Palletize and package GFE equipment per platform and ship/transport GFE per platform via DD‑1149 and DD‑1348s for material movement and disposal as required in support of facilities.
Process material Discrepancy Reports (MDR) from initiation through closure, including the transfer of equipment from one project to another.
Maintain day‑to‑day awareness of material arrivals, departures and storage status for Project Leads and Contract Management Analysts.
Use CMPro to coordinate the movement of materials between short‑term storage and lab spaces, issue CMPro work orders, material request forms (MRF), transportation movement requests (TMR), material receiving reports (MRR) and collect pre‑installation testing and checkout (PITCO) test documents received with Program of Record (POR) equipment and post them to the project library file.
Qualifications and Skills
At least five (5) years of experience, including warehouse support at a DoD facility.
Experience with logistics support for projects involving electronics/electrical repair and installation, ordering acquisition, distribution of materials, equipment and resources.
Ability to take direction and work independently.
High School Diploma; military background preferred.
Certifications: Forklift Operator, HAZMAT, OSHA certification required.
Security clearance: Secret.
