Production Supervisor manages all equipment, materials and human resources ensuring optimum performance. Leads entire shift’s staff in the application of all procedures and work instructions ensuring maximum output in the categories of Safety, Quality, Production, Housekeeping and Conduct.
Duties and Responsibilities
Monitor all production equipment for maximum performance
Monitor all personnel for performance and adherence to procedure
Oversee all on the job training
Enforcement of Production standards
Enforcement of Quality standards
Enforcement of Material handling standards
Enforcement of Housekeeping standards
Ensure proper and timely application of all process improvements
Record and enter labor, scrap, and finished parts to maintain inventory
Directly supervises 60+ employees in the manufacturing department
Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and discipling employees; addressing complaints, resolving problems and safety
Other duties may be assigned
Responsible to ensure all internal and OSHA required safety procedures are followed
Responsible to apply lean manufacturing methodologies to drive continuous improvement in manufacturing process
Adherence to all company policies and procedures (i.e., Quality manual, Employee Policy Guide, etc.)
Qualifications
Related Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; two to five years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Previous automotive operations management experience preferred
High energy and experience in inspiring and motivating cross-functional teams
