Dental Equipment Service Technician - Indianapolis, IN
Henry Schein is seeking a field service technician to repair and install dental equipment at practitioner offices.
Working under a Lead Technician or Project Coordinator, the EST will develop customer service skills, utilize support tools, troubleshoot issues, and increase product knowledge to drive service success and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Provide repair services to customers in a courteous and professional manner; may also perform basic installation services as needed.
Maintain necessary trade tools and have them readily available for installation and repair tasks.
Complete all on‑site installation, repair, maintenance, and test tasks under supervision of a Lead Technician or Project Coordinator.
Follow proper troubleshooting steps to diagnose errors on technical problems and determine appropriate solutions.
Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations to optimize the customer experience.
Maintain and manage proper inventory levels in van.
Produce timely and detailed service reports.
Attend required training, including Henry Schein Dental Career Development training and specific manufacturer technical training.
Comply with OSHA regulations as outlined in the OSHA manual and training; maintain and utilize personal protective equipment when needed.
Communicate in a timely manner to all Team Members and HUB dispatchers, keeping all informed of progress of assignments.
Complete all work orders in a timely manner and review work with the customer or responsible staff member prior to departure; close all work orders daily and submit for billing.
Submit all job‑related paperwork within required timeframes, including FDA Forms, expense reports, and other required paperwork.
Comply with all terms of the Fleet Management Policy, including maintenance and accident management policies.
Participate in special projects and perform other duties as required.
Work Experience Typically, 2 or more years of field service experience with demonstrated proficiency, basic mechanical background, and customer service background.
Preferred Education High School education, vocational training, on-the-job training; Associates degree or Technical School Certification is preferred.

Travel / Physical Demands The Equipment Service Technician position will require the delivery, installation and repair of equipment for Henry Schein customers.
Technicians will be expected to maneuver large equipment as needed.
The physical nature of the position may require substantial and/or repetitive bending, stopping, lifting and climbing of ladders.
