Manufacturing Quality Inspector

to join its growing team in

Wellford, SC . This facility produces precision-engineered, metal-fabricated products used by industry professionals nationwide. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience inspecting

CNC‑machined, robotic, and manual weld assemblies , with strong attention to detail, measurement accuracy, and a passion for quality craftsmanship.

What You Need

High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade training preferred.

Minimum

2 years of experience

in

manufacturing quality inspection , ideally in

metal fabrication or automotive

environments.

Proficiency in using

hot gauges ,

Roemer measuring machines , and standard precision tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, thread gauges).

Experience inspecting

CNC‑machined ,

robotically welded , and

manually welded

components.

Strong ability to

read blueprints, GD&T, and weld symbols .

Basic

computer skills (Microsoft Office)

and familiarity with quality data entry systems.

Knowledge of

CMM Arm

or similar coordinate measuring equipment preferred.

Familiarity with

ISO 9001

and

Total Quality Management (TQM)

principles a plus.

Excellent attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and communication skills.

What Your Role Will Look Like

Approve incoming materials by confirming specifications, performing

visual and dimensional inspections , and rejecting or returning nonconforming items.

Approve in-process and finished products by verifying specifications, conducting measurement and visual checks, and coordinating adjustments or rework with production teams.

Use precision

gauges, Roemer systems, and measurement equipment

per operating instructions, and arrange for repairs or calibration when necessary.

Record inspection data, maintain quality logs, and input results into the company’s quality database for traceability.

Identify and communicate trends or recurring issues to support continuous improvement and process adjustments.

Assist in implementing

Total Quality Management (TQM)

initiatives and provide support or training to other team members as needed.

Maintain a

safe and compliant work environment

by following established procedures and regulatory standards.

Recommend improvements to inspection methods, tolerances, or documentation processes to enhance product quality and efficiency.
