Overview Wake Radiology is seeking a Business Development Specialist I. Under the supervision of the Director, this role is responsible for identifying, cultivating and maintaining new and existing relationships with medical groups (physicians, APPs, podiatrists, chiropractors and other clinicians). The incumbent will provide exceptional customer service by educating clinicians and referring staff about our services, providers, and facilities, while identifying obstacles or creative possibilities to drive business growth.

Responsibilities

Evaluate new offices, providers, and existing offices in the defined market area to determine opportunities for new business or expansion of volume.

Onboard all new providers by implementing development strategies to support and grow applicable services within the providers’ area of expertise.

Collaborate with the leadership team to align growth priorities with the organization’s vision and strategic goals.

Engage in complex problem solving, interpret data, and employ strong sales acumen to identify creative solutions.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree required.

Minimum of three years in healthcare/pharmaceutical sales, business development or a similar capacity.

Proven record of organization and independent work.

Excellent interpersonal communication skills with exceptional follow-through, enthusiasm for customer service and relationship building.

Flexibility with occasional evening and weekend program work.

Demonstrated knowledge of business planning methods, marketing concepts, selling skills, research and data collection processes, and strong project management skills.

Highly self‑motivated with a strong desire to learn and utilize critical thinking skills.

Valid driver’s license and auto insurance in good standing.

Frequent travel within the market.

Ability to lift up to 35 lbs; extensive walking; getting in and out of a car; extended periods of standing required.
