We are looking for a skilled
Mobile Marine Technician
to join our service team. This role is hands‑on, customer‑facing, and focused on diagnostics, maintenance, and repair of outboard‑powered vessels. You’ll be working on a variety of boats throughout the Tampa Bay / St. Petersburg area, performing both scheduled services and on‑site troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities
Perform
100hr / 300hr services , water pumps, gear lube, thermostats, and routine maintenance
Diagnose
running issues, shift codes, electrical faults, livewell & bilge pump issues , power loss, alarms, and rigging problems
Remove and replace
lower units, rigging tubes, pumps, hydraulic components, thermostats, and shift linkages
Use OEM diagnostic software ( Yamaha G3, Mercury CDS, SmartCraft, Garmin, etc. ) when applicable
Install & troubleshoot
electronics
(Garmin, Power Pole, trolling motors, batteries/chargers, NMEA wiring)
Perform on‑site inspections and document findings with
photos, notes, and recommendations
Maintain professional communication with customers and represent the company positively on every job site
Work independently with accountability, reliability, and attention to detail
Qualifications
Minimum
5+ years of marine technician experience
(required)
Factory certifications are a major plus
(Yamaha, Mercury, Suzuki, Garmin, Minn Kota, etc.)
Strong diagnostic ability — mechanical & electrical
Comfortable working outdoors, at marinas, docks, storage yards, and boat ramps
Valid driver’s license & reliable transportation to service locations
Must be able to lift 50+ lbs, climb into bilges, and work on docks/water
Willingness to grow with the company
and advance in training/certifications
