Position Overview The Operations Supervisor plays a key role in managing the team’s workflow by assigning tasks, supporting staff, monitoring results, and reporting to senior management. They ensure safety and efficiency by improving processes, setting team targets, and acting as a link between employees and upper management. Supervisors are also responsible for coaching and resolving issues.
Work Location Country Club Hills, IL
Work Schedule 2nd Shift (Monday‑Friday)
Compensation & Benefits Annual salary $65,000–$82,500 plus bonus. Benefits include PTO, sick time, corporate holidays, medical, dental, vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and more. Compensation is based on experience, skills, and education.
Key Responsibilities
Promote a safe environment for customer product, associates, and temporary workers.
Follow established operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current.
Provide 100% customer satisfaction.
Build a positive teamwork environment by listening and communicating with all associates.
Help maintain attendance and tardiness records.
Monitor daily compliance with safety procedures.
Investigate accidents and prepare reports.
Provide on‑the‑job coaching and training to ensure associate skills are maintained at desired levels.
Coordinate vacations, payroll, and timesheets for associates and temporary workers, addressing complaints and concerns regarding productivity and quality of work.
Oversee warehouse associates.
Maintain proper Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) for food‑grade warehouse.
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or GED with some college level study.
2+ years experience in a supervisory warehousing role.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
Bi‑lingual, speaking Spanish a plus.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Lean Six Sigma experience a plus.
Inventory experience a plus.
Third‑Party Logistics (3PL) experience a plus.
