Parking Supervisor – Legends Global
THE ROLE Legends/ASM Global, leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an immediate opening for a Parking Supervisor at the Greater Columbus Convention Center. The Parking Supervisor oversees parking staff and operations during scheduled shifts and assists in coordinating special projects and duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Act as liaison between Parking department and User group contacts, hotel partners, Public Safety Department/CPD.
Complete an inspection of each facility and its equipment each shift and report any variances or points of concern.
Provide a shift log on the operating status of parking access and revenue control equipment as well as any unique occurrences/issues to the Parking Coordinator, Asst. Manager and Manager at the end of each shift.
Supervise daily activities of Lane Ambassadors and Maintenance staff in the parking department to ensure compliance to expectations.
Provide leadership and team building, communicate policies and operational information, and work to ensure safety.
Develop and maintain a cooperative team‑building environment. Provide a positive role model encouraging open communication and solution‑based problem solving.
Perform spot checks on parking transactions for all cashiers and change banks.
Monitor employee attendance and appearance noting any violations of company policy.
Monitor cashier revenue reconciliation noting any deficiency as per department policy.
Handle customer issues and inquiries. Promote positive customer relations by being responsive and attentive to customer needs.
Assist the Parking Coordinator with reviewing shift paperwork, auditing, compiling operating management reports, reviewing parking system activity reports, attending meetings, assisting in new hire interviewing and witnessing/assisting the administration of company progressive discipline policy.
Maintain department standards regarding customer service, uniform appearance, attendance, revenue controls and accounting.
Adhere and administer appropriate actions related to the Progressive Disciplinary Policy.
Handle parking revenue control equipment issues and service them when they require replenishment of supplies and change revenue.
Plan and supervise the general maintenance tasks in our facilities.
Assist in snow removal and remediation efforts during inclement weather periods and conditions to provide a clean and safe parking experience and pedestrian travel on our footprint.
All other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Parking Manager, Asst. Coordinator and/or Coordinator(s).
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with all Legends & ASM policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must have proven knowledge in parking practices and procedures including cashiering duties, monetary reconciliation, parking facility maintenance, customer service, and a clear understanding of mechanical and computerized parking access and revenue control systems.
Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license with a clear driving record.
Education And/Or Experience
Minimum two years of parking management/supervisory experience.
Skills And Abilities
This position requires the ability to interact with all types of people. Must be able to get along with co‑workers, customers, vendors, and visitors to the facility.
This position requires the ability to respond politely to all individuals and work well as a team player.
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Good organizational skills.
High attention to detail.
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to drive a standard shift vehicle.
Have an operating knowledge of Tennant brand or equivalent equipment.
Working conditions include a varied schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and all elements of weather.
Ability to perform minor physical tasks, including lifting up to fifty pounds.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Frequent standing, walking, or talking; ability to stand for extended periods while working rotating shifts; ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
