Phlebotomist Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist to support our client’s medical facility, which is based in Pittsburg KS 66762. Base pay range $17.00/hr - $25.00/hr Location Pittsburg KS 66762 Schedule Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm (40 hrs/week) Pay Rate $17/hr - $25/hr (Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials. The rate is based on years of DIRECT EXPERIENCE as listed in the resume) Job Type Contract with possible extension opportunity Responsibilities Experience doing blood draws, labelling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc. Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures. Properly explain in a clear but courteous manner the process of the venipuncture (blood drawing) and or other specimen collection (ex. urine or fecal) as required. Demonstrate technique/s using straight needles and/or butterfly needles. Fully understand all of the physicians' orders. Matches laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes. Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order. Check all test requisitions or computer labels against the script to ensure 100% correct. Package specimens for transport. Stores specimens according to the required temperature Qualifications High School Diploma or GED is required. Minimum 3 years. Phlebotomy experience is required.
