Position Title: Human Resources Generalist

Job Description
This position supports the daily functions of the Human Resources department for the companies managed by Praesum Healthcare LLC by assisting with the development, implementation and following up on the hiring practices to ensure compliance with internal policies along with Federal, State and Local regulations as they relate to employment. The successful candidate has excellent written and verbal communication skills while being professional yet assertive. Highly effective organizational skills are required for accuracy and timely gathering of data. This fast‑paced position requires a high attention to detail.
Responsibilities
Assists the HR Manager with (or handles the), initiating and maintaining all employee Personnel records including but not limited to; status changes, employee orientation, employee evaluations in accordance with all local, Federal and State Regulations
Keeps abreast of changes to and monitors compliance with, State and Federal Laws and regulations in areas of wage, hour and Equal Opportunity Employment
Background Screening and Drug Testing
Coordination of all continuing education training sessions
Tracking all employee required CEU’s
Upkeep and verification of credentials of professional employees (license, certification, etc.)
Representing the company in all unemployment compensation cases
Representing the company in all workers compensation cases
Reports and sends all documentation received to Corporate Office
Handles the organizing, coordinating and monitoring the timeliness and completion of employee performance appraisals
Employee Orientation Program
Assists in the orientation of new employees and ensures that all required paperwork is completed
Assists with the maintenance of all files, (personnel, credential, etc.)
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
AA Degree or Vocational training preferred in a related field
A minimum of 1-2 years of office or related healthcare industry experience
Individual must be computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
PHR certification preferred, but not required
Schedule
Full Time
Monday-Friday
8:30am-5:30pm
Compensation
Hourly rate competitive with experience and location
