Job Overview This is a part‑time position. Primary responsibility is to take excellent care of our customers by satisfying each customer’s needs, exceeding their expectations, and making every shopping visit a pleasant and satisfying experience. This requires performing bookkeeping, accounting, and other functions required in the store accounting office. The associate may be assigned to be the on‑duty floor monitor, customer service clerk, cashier, and/or bagger when appropriate. Responsibilities Perform bookkeeping, accounting, and other tasks in the store accounting office. Provide excellent customer service in the store, exceeding expectations. Work as on‑duty floor monitor, customer service clerk, cashier, and/or bagger as assigned. Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Willingness to complete required training. Language skills: read, comprehend, and write simple English instructions; present information to English‑speaking customers, vendors, and associates. Mathematical skills: add/subtract two‑digit numbers; calculate discount percentages; perform operations in U.S. currency. Reasoning ability: apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions; deal with problems involving few concrete variables in standardized situations. Certifications, licenses, training: complete company’s training (new hire orientation, customer service network, safety, customer service clerk technical skills, floor monitor technical skills). Physical Demands Regularly stand, walk, use hands, reach, talk, hear, and smell. Occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch. Must regularly lift or move up to 25 lb within 6–48 inches, occasionally up to 40 lb within 6–72 inches. Requires close vision and color and depth perception. Work Environment Occasional exposure to wet/humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic/caustic chemicals, extreme cold. Noise level is usually moderate.
