VCF Engineer

Job Overview Our client, a leading organization in the chemical / manufacturing sector, is seeking a VCF Engineer to join their team. As a VCF Engineer, you will be part of the Infrastructure Support Department supporting the Cloud and Virtualization team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a proactive approach to technology challenges, which will align successfully in the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop comprehensive VCF 9 architecture for management and workload domains.
Perform greenfield installation of VCF 9, including management domain setup, vSphere, vSAN, and NSX configuration.
Integrate external services such as DNS, NTP, and LDAP, ensuring environment readiness and post-installation validation.
Configure SDDC Manager for patching, upgrades, and implement backup and recovery strategies for VCF components.
Provide documentation, training, and share best practices for day-2 operations and troubleshooting with internal teams.
Requirements
Proven experience with VMware Cloud Foundation, preferably v9, including deployment and lifecycle management.
Strong knowledge of vSphere, vSAN (ESA/OSA), and NSX-T networking and storage configurations.
Familiarity with PowerCLI, JSON deployment specifications, and API integrations.
Deep understanding of VLANs, MTU, routing, and IP addressing in enterprise environments.
Relevant certifications such as VCP-VCF Architect or Support are preferred.
