The Business Management department is a fast‑paced, dynamic team whose responsibility is to partner with Marketing and Publicity teams to effectively manage their budgets, track invoices, troubleshoot AP‑related issues, and support Finance with reporting.
The Business Management team is seeking a Business Management Coordinator who will be an integral part of the team supporting all DET Marketing and Publicity. The Business Management Coordinator will report to the Department’s Business Manager and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to drive strategic initiatives and maintain compliance with company policies and procedures. In addition, the Coordinator supports the monthly and quarterly Forecast or Close reports, manages budgets to ensure SAP actual spend is accurate, tracks pending invoices, and reconciles forecasts to AOP‑approved budgets. The role handles vendor set‑up, liaises with Accounts Payable (AP) and Procurement, handles PO exceptions and after‑the‑fact POs, and coordinates with Contingent Workforce Management, HR, and Legal. The Coordinator also re‑iterates business management processes that solve business team needs, such as payroll for Daily Hires in Workday and Kronos, submits internal budget adjustments via journal entries or external adjustments via billbacks, and builds relationships and trust while tackling any assignment efficiently.
Responsibilities
Provide expertise in business operations, budget management, and strategic planning.
Review budget reports and scenarios with the Business Manager, incorporating actuals and commitments to drive strategic budget decisions.
Interpret internal and external business challenges and lead related projects.
Re‑iterate existing business finance operations processes (e.g., Daily Hire onboarding, Workday, SAP, Kronos), including training, review, and guidance.
Connect and communicate with all levels of management.
Foster collaboration and build relationships across departments to achieve shared objectives.
Ensure internal controls are followed and comply with Walt Disney Company policies and procedures.
Preserve the integrity of the vendor master database to mitigate risk.
Basic Qualifications
Work experience in Business, Accounting, or Finance, ideally within a streaming or entertainment company.
Self‑starter with critical thinking, attention to detail, and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to multi‑task and learn quickly in a fast‑paced environment.
Positive, team‑oriented attitude to fit the culture.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of communicating effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Knowledge of SAP, Workday, and Payroll a plus.
Working knowledge of MS Outlook, MS Excel, and Google Drive apps.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with Kronos and Airtable.
Required Education
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related major, or equivalent years of experience.
The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $54,000 to $72,300 per year based on a 40‑hour work week. Hours may vary. Base pay will consider internal equity and may vary by geographic region, knowledge, skill, and experience. A bonus and/or long‑term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, along with full medical, financial, and other benefits.
