Posting Details Position Title: Practitioner in Residence – Marketing or Supply Chain Management Tenure Status: Non‑Tenure Track Rank: Practitioner in Residence Position Number: PKH - TBD
Location Walker College of Business – Appalachian State University (Asheville, NC)
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Marketing or an MBA from an AACSB accredited program (required).
10–15 years of relevant industry and professional experience.
Teaching interest in one or more areas of marketing and supply chain management.
Academic Credentials
ABD consideration: Not applicable. Only candidates with an earned doctorate or terminal degree from an accredited institution will be considered.
ABD with reduction in rank and salary: If evidence of a successful dissertation defense is received by July 31 (fall hire) or November 30 (spring hire), the candidate will be hired at full rank. If not, a one‑year fixed‑term contract will be offered with a reduced rank and salary.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Teach 10 course sections per year in marketing and/or supply chain management during the 11‑month contract.
All classes are taught asynchronously, online, for 8 weeks each.
Participate in the Flight Path program and collaborate with faculty.
Maintain instructional materials and participate in departmental meetings.
Compensation Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
