Associate Attorney – Appellate Practice Requirements & Qualifications
2–3 years
of relevant legal experience, ideally with exposure to appellate practice
Exceptional academic credentials
Outstanding legal research, writing, and analytical abilities
Demonstrated oral advocacy and communication skills
Experience drafting appellate briefs and dispositive motions
Federal judicial clerkship experience highly preferred
Must be an active member in good standing with the
Florida Bar
Must provide transcripts and a writing sample; references required before final interview
Associate Attorney – Appellate Practice Preferred Background & Skills
Ability to work independently while thriving in a team‑oriented environment

Deep familiarity with Florida and federal appellate procedures
Associate Attorney – Appellate Practice Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis for a wide range of appellate matters
Draft appellate briefs, motions, memoranda, and persuasive legal documents
Assist with and participate in oral arguments and appellate hearings
Analyze trial court records to identify appellate issues and strategies
Collaborate with attorneys across practice groups on appeals involving diverse legal areas
Stay up to date on developments in Florida and federal appellate law
