Veterinary Technician - Emergency
Round Rock, TX
Schedule: Full-time, 3 day 12 hour shift, including Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday nights.
Heart of Texas is looking for an Emergency Veterinary Technician to join our team as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community.

About You Role Responsibilities Emergency Veterinary Technicians perform a variety of animal‑health duties and ensure quality pet and client care. The Emergency Technician should be proficient in duties including but not limited to: client care and communication, efficient patient assessments, quick response to emergencies, patient monitoring, venipuncture, IV catheter placement, patient recovery, anesthetic monitoring, diagnostic imaging, and medical math.
Our Ideal Candidate
Strong veterinary skills
Able to appropriately handle animals
Able to assist in veterinary medical procedures
Recent experience in a veterinary practice
Willing to work weekends and holidays
Job Requirements
At least 3 years recent experience in veterinary practice
Ability to perform routine veterinary medical procedures
Excellent interpersonal communications skills
High school diploma or GED
Veterinary Technician license is preferred
Previous emergency experience preferred but not required
