Our Client is seeking a DSP/Residential Aide to provide support and instruction to persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities within a group home in the Valley Stream area. To include Queens area.
Compensation: $17-$19 per hour
SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY
Promote intellectual, emotional, and social growth.
Ensure all activities are designed to foster growth to each individual's highest level of accomplishment.
Ensure all care and services are delivered in a climate of normalization, care and concern.
Assist Consumers with daily nutrition and their medications (as needed).
Transport Consumers to appointments (as needed).
CLIENT'S REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Valid Driver's License (not required but helpful).
Ability to complete and pass mandated clearances.
Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of one (1) year experience working with the DDD population.
Must be comfortable toileting.
DTG ADVANTAGES
Establish a relationship with one of the largest referral agencies for behavioral‑health.
Compensation processed on a weekly basis.
Bonuses and incentives are offered.
Increase or decrease your schedule at your discretion: choose opportunities that best fit your schedule.
Ability to grow professionally.
Credentials Needed
CPR
First Aid
SCIP (Strategies for Crisis Intervention and Prevention)
AMAP (Approved Medication Administration Personnel) not required but helpful.
