Job Type: Full‑time.

Job Description At Ingerman, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing repairs, troubleshooting, and carrying out preventative maintenance on assigned property/properties. This includes maintaining and improving the condition of property grounds and buildings and the timely completion of work orders.

Key Responsibilities

Perform repairs, troubleshoot mechanical systems, and complete preventative maintenance.

Restoreated apartments to move‑in condition for new residents.

Conduct maintenance‑related inspections, including building and alarm systems.

Remove snow, ice, and leaves from sidewalks, walkways, steps, and driveways/parking spaces.

Complete janitorial requirements in accordance with the janitorial schedule.

Respond to on‑call emergencies on weekends, evenings, and holidays—resolve as circumstances warrant.

Patrol property daily to identify areas in need of cleaning and complete required work—remove trash/debris from property grounds and common areas, keep the dumpster area clean, and vacuum, sweep, and mop common areas.

Walk the grounds and common areas daily; remove litter and debris from lawns, planting beds, parking areas, sidewalks, ramps, and indoor spaces.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.

Minimum of two years of maintenance or construction experience.

One year of experience as a full‑charge residential maintenance technician is preferred.

One year of introductory supervisory experience and above average motivation preferred.

Knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations is preferred.

EPA certification preferred.

HVAC certification preferred.

Must be able to work a flex schedule and be on‑call for emergencies on weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Requires the ability to read, speak and comprehend the English language.

Proficiency in performing plumbing, electric and machinery repair.

Ability to follow direction and work independently.

Advanced troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.

Ability to work in a fast‑paced, action‑oriented environment.

Must have hand tools.

ANSI approved steel‑toe shoes/composite required.

Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Willing to assist with other properties within the portfolio and surrounding portfolios as needed.

Willing to travel up to 10–20% of the time.
