US Foods . Salary is $28.00/hour with benefits starting Day 1. The position will begin in Charlotte, NC and relocate to Lexington, NC in April 2026.
Responsibilities
Perform repairs and maintenance on production/facility equipment to keep machinery operational day and night.
Conduct preventive maintenance and log work per USF policy.
Review equipment reports submitted by associates and record actions/repairs.
Complete required documentation (assembly, disassembly forms, etc.).
Maintain battery‑charging area, batteries, and related equipment.
Manage company tools, replacement parts and maintenance equipment inventory.
Follow safety procedures (Lock‑Out/Tag‑Out, placarding, safe work environment).
Purchase tools and equipment from local vendors when authorized.
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent; mechanical training or trade school preferred.
Minimum six months of mechanic experience.
Knowledge of equipment repair, overhaul, welding ability.
Ability to read/write legibly, follow orders, perform basic math.
Work with minimal direct supervision.
Physical Requirements Job requires:
SIT occasionally, STAND frequently, WALK frequently, DRIVE occasionally.
LIFT 1‑10 lbs continuously; 10‑20 lbs frequently; 25‑50 lbs occasionally; 50‑100 lbs occasionally.
CARRY 1‑10 lbs frequently; 10‑20 lbs frequently; 25‑50 lbs occasionally; 50‑100 lbs occasionally.
PUSH/PULL occasionally; CLIMB/BALANCE occasionally; STOO/PUSH/BEND regularly.
Reach above shoulder occasionally; GRASP objects frequently; TWIST occasionally.
