Job Description The maintenance technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems, and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.

Principal Functional Responsibilities

Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment

Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service

Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines

Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service

Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and make adjustments

Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities

Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties

Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision

Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas

Understand motor connections

Complete work with accuracy and efficiency

Adhere to all facets of safety policies and procedures

Repair production equipment, plant equipment, and related systems

Use machine tools and hand tools working with a variety of material

Analyze malfunctioning machines and systems (electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical, etc.) Recommend corrective action and make repairs or modification as necessary

Maintain a working understanding of plant production processes, equipment, systems, and facilities in order to perform maintenance effectively

Works in cooperation with engineering, technical, production or outside contractors, as directed

Able to understand instructions whether they are written or verbal and follow said instructions

Essential Qualifications and Skills

Software experience with PLC and Servo Drives a plus but not required

2-3 years’ experience with transformer connections, basic PLC understanding, electrical over air operations and 24v controls

Strong Industrial Maintenance Background

Mechanical history of at least 2-5 years

Experienced/self-sufficient in Electrical Maintenance and Mechanical Maintenance

Electrical troubleshooting

Physical Requirements

Prolonged standing

May be required to frequently lift up to 40-50 lbs.

Overtime is required, including some weekends

May be required to work a flexible schedule
