Role Summary The Material Handler is responsible for loading and unloading trucks, packaging and unpackaging materials, assisting in stocking and pulling parts from storage, and all other functions associated with shipping and receiving. The role may also require operating a forklift to transport goods and materials around the facility.

Shift 1st shift (Monday - Friday 6:30 am – 3:00 pm)

Responsibilities

Unload incoming shipments.

Perform verification of bill of lading and packing list, unpack incoming shipments.

Engage with purchasing and other departments to resolve packing list discrepancies.

Conduct inspections and provide damaged goods with a damage identification, as needed.

Accurately record materials received on the appropriate purchase orders and distribute copies to the appropriate personnel.

Ensure system (ERP) receipt of materials within 24 hours.

Verify the accuracy of outbound shipments.

Properly package outbound shipments to ensure that the contents arrive in undamaged condition.

Handle all document filing and archiving requirements.

Follow all warehouse processes while maintaining good housekeeping in all assigned work areas.

Abide by all Flowserve safety requirements.

Use basic computer skills, including navigating Microsoft Office.

Work occasional overtime, including weekends and evenings.

Stand for long periods, walk many steps, kneel, twist, and bend throughout the day.

Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally buddy lift more than 100 pounds.

Employ vision abilities such as close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Multitask and work in a production environment that has multiple product changeovers.

Learn and cross‑train as needed across different functions.

Speak and understand “the language of logistics.”

Have good communication and interpersonal skills.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

1‑2 years of related material handling and forklift experience.

Strong analytical, research, and problem‑solving skills.

Keen attention to detail.

Preferred Skills

High school diploma or GED.

Familiarity with ERP systems.

Forklift certified.

Pay range: 17.24 – 21.55 USD hourly
