Treasury Management Officer - Central KS Position: Treasury Management Officer

Location: Central, Western, or Southwest Kansas

Responsibilities and Expectations

Drive new sales opportunities by identifying client and prospect treasury management needs through consultative sales and relationship reviews.

Consult with clients and prospects on the phone and in person; know their business and anticipate their treasury needs.

Ensure SLA’s are met daily and documentation is accurate.

Resolve internal and external client issues and provide technical support for clients as needed.

Act as liaison for all bank lines of business by providing timely communication regarding product, service and SLA changes, opportunities and challenges.

Manage day-to-day ACH, Wire and Remote Deposit limit needs and risk assessment for clients in accordance with policies and procedures.

Monitor and drive portfolio growth – both deposit and non-interest income – by reviewing client’s needs on a regular basis.

Create, support and oversee annual relationship reviews in partnership with lead officer assigned to account (i.e., Lender, Bank Manager, and/or Market President).

Contribute to the bank’s profitability and growth by achieving goals for fee income, new deposits and growth while controlling expenses.

Participate in outside business development opportunities and networking events.

Stay abreast of key competitor product/service offerings in target markets, including products, features, pricing and competitive advantages/disadvantages.

Develop full and detailed knowledge of all lines of business, and become a champion for creating opportunities to refer clients to Wealth Management, Private Banking, Mortgage, Consumer and Commercial Lending, Retail accounts, and attract deposits.

Partner with Treasury Management Analyst to ensure successful completion of all TM documentation and seamless onboarding experience for client.

Develop and implement “share of wallet” and “onboarding” strategies for new and existing small business and commercial clients.

Enter all Activities, Appointments, Incidents, etc. into Connect (CRM) for every TM client and bank interaction.

Maintain and deliver accurate Treasury Management sales pipeline and closed sales reports on a timely basis through Connect.

Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Required Skills & Education

Bachelor’s degree (preferred) in business, finance or related field.

5 or more years of Treasury Management experience.

Extensive knowledge of banking industry.

Previous Management experience preferred.

Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent customer service and retention skills.

Ability to work independently with minimal guidance – takes initiative / self-starter.

Time management skills – ability to effectively manage internal/external requests, concerns and problems in a professional and timely manner.

Ability to overcome objections.

Proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements This position requires standing, walking, bending, and squatting on a regular basis. May require the ability to stoop, kneel, crouch or reach with hands and arms. Requires the ability to carry, lift, move or push up to 25 pounds on an occasional basis. Must be able to talk and listen to others.
