Front Desk Group Coordinator
Location The Strat (Las Vegas, NV)
Summary As the Front Desk Group Coordinator, you are the first point of contact for group-related needs. Your strong organizational skills are important for handling inquiries, booking rooms, coordinating special requests, communicating with group leaders, and ensuring a seamless check-in and check-out process for large groups.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Collect files from Group Reservations on incoming groups to pre-assign rooms, check-in groups, create keys, and deliver rooming list to the Bell Desk
Issue keys to the group leader and collect payment/vouchers
Assign guest accommodations in accordance with current policies and procedures
Manage cash flow in assigned bank and perform account postings
Reconcile departed group accounts and deliver files to Finance
Provide excellent guest service by handling all special requests and resolve any guest concerns
Run various reports regarding group activities
Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless execution of group needs
Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, if they apply to the position
Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company’s guest service culture standards
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
At least 6 months of experience in a role with similar responsibilities or with relevant transferrable skills in a similar environment
Experience providing high level of guest service
Ability to access and input information using a moderately complex computer system
At least 18 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent required
Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal
Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
Verify right to work in the United States
Physical Requirements
Occasionally push/pull up to 35lbs
Occasionally lift and/or carry up to 35lbs at floor, knee, waist, and chest levels
Occasionally walk, squat, kneel, reach, bend, twist
Constantly stand and work at a desk or computer
Ability to communicate using in-person speech, radios, and telephoneAbility to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sound in person
Constant use of hearing and vision, distinguish between shades of color and use tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity
