Position Summary Provide daily bulk liquid blending expertise in accordance with batch blend ticket orders provided by the customer service and scheduling departments. Follow blend procedures and batch formulas to assure product specifications are met. Perform drum filling or bag filling operations in the production departments according to filling orders. Perform blending or quantity calculations and verify product order specification through testing. Notify department supervisor of order inaccuracy or regulatory inconsistencies. Issue non-conformance reports and adhere to the ISO-9000 quality procedures program. Communicate status of the blending or production progress to the department supervisor.
Position Qualifications
Must have a high school or equivalent education with excellent communication skills, the ability to read, write and perform math calculations.
Be physically capable of climbing ladders to access all plant locations including top of tanks and railcar connections.
Demonstrate the ability to make decisions and administrate corrective actions.
Must have an equivalent 2 years of chemical handling, blending or packaging operations.
Scope Of Responsibilities And Accountability Primary – Essential
Responsible for the blending and packaging accuracy of customer orders.
Calculate and confirm order quantities according to customer specifications.
Perform work in the most efficient manner. Recommend needed improvements.
Communicate production activities and progress with the department supervisor.
Issue non-conformance reports and comply to ISO-9000 quality procedures.
Be knowledgeable of product characteristic and hazards stated in the MSDS.
Oversee the inventories of available raw material and supplies.
Operate necessary conveying equipment and forklifts as needed.
Secondary Responsibilities
Assist in the hands-on training and development of new employees
Perform other reasonable duties as directed by the department supervisor.
Reporting Responsibilities And Staffing This position reports to the department supervisor of 3 Rivers Terminal through direct communications. Material Handlers will be assigned to assist the Chemical Operator.
