Utility Worker – SCC Beatrice We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Utility Worker to join our team at our SCC Beatrice location. The Utility position is responsible for maintaining kitchen work areas, equipment and utensils. The general responsibilities of the position include those listed below.
Responsibilities
Wash dishes or pans by hand or dish machine.
Wash work tables, walls, refrigerators and equipment.
Sweep, mop, clean and vacuum floors.
Remove trash and garbage to designated areas.
May unload grocery deliveries or transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
Clean equipment and facilities using specific chemicals ensuring safety & sanitary standards.
Comply with all HACCP and safety policies and procedures.
May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience in a utility or maintenance role is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills.
Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects.
Basic knowledge of safety procedures and practices.
Physical Requirements
Continuous walking and other means of mobility up to 8 hours a day.
Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push/pull and frequently lift/move up to 30 pounds.
