Position Summary Under the direction of the Branch Executive and in accordance with the Christian mission and purpose of the Great Miami Valley (GMV) YMCA Association, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for assisting with the safety, security, and general operation of the facility. This position requires hands‑on maintenance duties and the ability to work with project teams, troubleshoot mechanical problems, and work independently to effect repairs.

Essential Functions
Managing pool chemicals.
Backwash and fill pools as needed.
Organizes and prioritizes work lists.
Hot tub and sauna maintenance.
Problem solves issues with machinery, systems and tools.
Work with machinery, systems and tools safely and efficiently (OSHA compliance) such as Tasky, Chariot, Moto Scrubber and power washer.
Ability to change ceiling tiles, light bulbs, mopping and general custodial work.
Ability to work independently from a project list.
Report issues/problems to branch executive
Follows all YMCA policies, rules, regulations and procedures, including emergency and safety procedures. Completes incident and accident reports as necessary.
Organizes and puts away needed equipment and tools. Reports damaged equipment.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience in carpentry, electrical, maintenance, grounds keeping or a related field.
Knowledge of plumbing, motors, pumps, electrical and mechanical required.
CPO is required (if not certified, will become certified).
At least 21 years of age.
A clean driving record.
Must pass a background check.
This position requires a strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, if necessary.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
