Perform all work adhering to OSHA and H&K Safety policies Receive oral or written direction from the shop foreman on plans for the day's tasks Read job order, listen to equipment in operation to determine malfunction and plan work procedures Assist in the installation, repair, and preventative maintenance for various equipment and vehicles Assist with all standard maintenance on trucks and equipment and ensure state inspection requirements are met for cars, trucks, and trailers Apply classroom techniques to regularly scheduled maintenance and repair activities Other duties as assigned Required Skills, Education, and Experience
Enrollment in an accredited technical high school or technical high school program in auto mechanics, diesel mechanics, or related field Basic math and communication skills Able and willing to work an abbreviated 2nd shift schedule Ability to fit test and utilize appropriate PPE as needed Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job) Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience
1 year completed study in the related technical field Previous co‑op or internship experience Physical Demands
Frequently required to: Stoop, crouch, kneel; Use hands to finger, feel, and grasp Occasionally required to: Stand, walk, sit, talk, hear, climb, balance, crawl; Lift or move up to 75 pounds Work Environment
Noise level is loud at times Required to work outdoors in all environments at times Company Information
