We are seeking qualified applicants for the position of Maintenance Technician – Mechanical (Process) at the Calcasieu Pass Liquefied Natural Gas (CPLNG) facility. The role reports to the Maintenance Mechanical Supervisor (Process) and requires execution of all mechanical preventive and corrective maintenance work at the Liquefaction, Storage and Loading facilities.

General Description The Maintenance Mechanical Technician (Process) works with other technicians and supervisors within the Operations & Maintenance departments to maintain mechanical systems safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

Executes preventive and corrective maintenance mechanical work according to CPLNG HSSE process, procedures, standards and regulations.

Adheres to VGIMS (Venture Global Integrity Management System), CPLNG Maintenance Manual and Work Management process and procedures.

Identifies potential safety, health, environmental work hazards and understands maintenance work scope and applicable Operation and Maintenance processes.

Performs problem‑solving activities to ensure maintenance and reliability issues are addressed and corrective measures are implemented.

Functions as Maintenance SME (Subject Matter Expert) for Mechanical systems.

Prepares and creates required Job Safety Hazard Analysis and work permits under the area of responsibility and ensures permits are submitted to Operations well in advance.

Works with maintenance and engineering counterparts to complete scheduled maintenance work safely.

Reports daily work progress and updates, adhering to maintenance execution processes and procedures.

Manages personal time card according to CPLNG Policies and Procedures (vacation, time‑off, sick leave, training, “on‑call” etc.).

Supervises contractor work execution, ensuring safe completion and performance per CPLNG Contractor Management procedure.

Provides mentoring and coaching to others and holds personal accountability for performance and behavior.

Requests required special tools, equipment and PPE for safe maintenance activities.

Participates in CPLNG Ready for Operations (RFO) maintenance projects to develop required systems, processes and procedures before commercial operations.

Supports Mechanical equipment factory acceptance test (FAT) and site acceptance tests (SAT) as required.

Participates in pre‑commissioning, commissioning, startup and operation of the CPLNG Facility, acting as a vital member of the integrated commissioning/start‑up team(s) with the EPC contractor.

Participates in various reviews during the Engineering and Design phases such as HAZOPs, 3D model and P&ID reviews.

Qualifications

Education and Certifications:

Minimum of a high school diploma or GED; Technical degree in Mechanical or applicable nationally recognized standard certification (e.g., NCCER).

Experience:

Minimum 5 years of maintenance mechanical technician work experience in Oil & Gas, LNG or petrochemical facilities.

Knowledge of mechanical industrial standards and code regulations (API, ASME Process, NBIC pressure device relief testing, etc.).

Strong knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance of mechanical static and rotating equipment.

Applied knowledge of maintenance and inspection of equipment such as Loading arms, Gangways, Berth systems, cryogenic pumps and systems (Cold Box, Refrigerant Storage, etc.), reciprocating, screw and centrifugal compressors, Diesel engines, Air‐Cooled Heat Exchangers, Flare systems, catalysts loading/unloading, etc.

Experience working with scaffolding, painting, insulating, heavy equipment operation‑rigging/lifting crafts, welding, fabrication, machining, etc.

Familiarity with CMMS work‑management process; SAP experience preferred.

Experience supporting small/medium‑scale mechanical projects.

Maintains a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card in good standing status.
