What you’ll do
Safely operate, transfer, and deliver freight using 53‑ft trailers in and out of loading doors.
Operate material handling equipment to load/unload materials safely.
Maintain required documentation: daily logs, vehicle inspections, mileage, unloading/shipping records.
Conduct thorough pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections; provide documentation; ensure proper trailer closure.
Provide basic equipment maintenance; report malfunctions.
Secure loads and verify weight limits.
Maintain housekeeping of tractor/trailer and assigned areas.
Inspects trailers before movement to verify condition.
Work safely and adhere to all safety policies and practices.
What you need
Minimum 6 months of CDL Class A experience.
Current valid driver’s license with clean driving record for past 2 years.
Clean CDL Class A record.
Preferred:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience moving multiple trailer types (tanks, vans, flatbeds).
Requirements Drivers must comply with GXO policies regarding COVID safety, OSHA, CDC, and local regulations. Pre‑employment drug testing may be required.
