Automotive Contract Clerk
Overview
Performs a wide range of administrative and office support duties associated with vehicle documentation, such as new and used car deals, dealer trades, reconciliation of schedules, pay offs, posting EFTs, etc. This position will handle primarily used car contracts. The ideal candidate has some post‑secondary education (degree, coursework, or certification) and at least one year of experience as a contract clerk. They can work in a fast‑paced and challenging environment handling multiple projects and must have excellent communication, administrative, organizational, and computer skills.

Responsibilities
Process vehicle sales transactions and verify information for the accounting department
Break down deal paperwork and submit finance contracts to banks
Ensure contracts are paid in a timely manner
Report new sales transactions
Process registrations for vehicles and submit all information to DMV
Maintain a list of all outstanding titles and report status to department managers
Generate and maintain salespersons’ commission reports and list of commissions on hold
Prepare payoff checks for trade‑ins and apply for titles as needed
Maintain clean schedules appropriate for job duties
Provide administrative support to management, other departments, and employees as needed
Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor
Accounts payable and receivable experience is a plus
Experience with ADP Drive System and DMV desk is a plus
Qualifications
At least one year of automotive experience (only automotive experience candidates apply)
Extremely professional
Good organizational skills
Detail-oriented and able to multi‑task
Strong work ethic, including maintaining a neat work area
Good attendance required
Experience with ADP Drive is a plus
