Warehouse Selector, First Shift Monday through Friday Vistar is seeking a Warehouse Selector to join our team on the first shift (Mon‑Fri, 7am until finish, usually 3:30pm). Position Summary Select cases and other containers of food and non‑food products to fill customer orders from a multi‑level rack warehouse storage system. Items are placed on pallets and completed orders are moved to the loading dock staging area with an electric pallet jack or forklift, wrapped, labeled, and readied for shipment while observing all safety and quality standards and maintaining efficient flow.

Responsibilities

Follow all preferred work methods, safety policies, and procedures per company guidelines. Ensure work area is safe and report any unsafe conditions immediately.

Review work schedule, obtain required supplies, and perform safety checks on pallet jack/forklift. Put on all required PPE and safety gear.

Meet required productivity and accuracy standards per location and company guidelines.

Place pallets on pallet jack and work along assigned multi‑level racks to locate products according to order sheets.

Manually place appropriate stock items on pallets from pick slots and racks as required. Use single and/or double pallets as directed.

Transport completed palletized customer orders to the shipping dock staging area. May be required to shrink‑wrap pallet for staging.

Remove batteries requiring recharging, replace with charged batteries, or attach re‑charger and complete vehicle inspection checklist. At the end of the shift, secure all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.

6‑12 months of warehouse and/or distribution work experience.

6‑12 months of electric pallet jack experience.

Must be able to work scheduled and assigned times, including required overtime.

Able to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout the shift.

Able to lift and stack product between 10–35 pounds, and up to 80 pounds occasionally.

Able to work in multi‑temperature environments (cooler, freezer, dry).

Pass pre‑employment drug test.

Compensation $18 per hour plus $2 cooler/freezer incentive and additional incentives.
