Job Description Summary A Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for the daily flow of clinical supplies between the pharmacy and nursing departments. The role supports pharmacy and nursing by ensuring timely, accurate deliveries of supplies and medication, managing inventory sourcing, purchasing, and compliance with legal standards and company policies.
Job Responsibilities
Direct patient contact to ascertain supply needs as designated by the clinician and establish relationships with clients. Communicate information to appropriate personnel and document accordingly. Generate patient orders on the system and coordinate shipping schedules. Communicate with nurses and pharmacists to ensure availability of patient supplies and confirm deliveries.
Purchase all supplies for inventory following correct purchasing procedures. Source cost‑effective products as directed by clinicians and Option Care product contracts, minimizing freight costs. Maintain knowledge of products and their usage.
Maintain accurate inventory, accountable for discrepancies. Participate in physical inventory, implement inventory control, and establish minimum order quantity amounts. Monitor equipment tracking and maintenance. Obtain cost‑effective rental equipment.
Observe legal and ethical guidelines for safeguarding patient confidentiality and proprietary Option Care information.
Participate in the process for assessing, managing, and reporting medication‑related incidents and equipment error or failures. Accurately complete QAR forms and forward them to the general manager.
Participate in on‑call responsibilities if required.
Accept other responsibilities and duties assigned by the general manager.
Basic Education And/or Experience Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic Qualifications & Interests
Experience communicating verbally on phone, one‑on‑one, and in writing (emails, letters, reports) to various audiences including work group, team, company management, and external vendors.
Basic PC skills (e.g., starting and shutting down a computer, using a mouse, starting and closing programs, switching between programs, saving files, printing documents, accessing information online).
Basic email skills and internet usage (sending, receiving, and organizing communications).
Travel Requirements
Willing to travel at least 50% of the time for business purposes.
Preferred Qualifications & Interests
Prior experience working in a warehouse or delivery setting.
Pay & Benefits Salary determined by applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and market data. Pay range: $16.33–$23.97 per hour.
