POSITION SUMMARY:
The TXM Technician is primarily responsible for performing requested services including oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and inspecting vehicles for possible repairs needed while maintaining the highest level of customer service, satisfaction, and retention.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Perform a 21-point vehicle maintenance inspection and advise the Service Advisor if services are recommended, additional work is needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
Perform work as outlined on the repair order with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
Drain oil and replace the oil filter, grease all fittings, fill the crankcase to the required level with factory‑specified oil, start the engine, check pressure, and verify no leaks as outlined by the TXM procedure.
Perform MPI as outlined by the TXM procedure.
Inspect all fluid levels of the vehicle, including but not limited to power steering, windshield washer, transmission, transaxle, engine oil, coolant, brake, clutch, t‑case, front and rear differentials, and any other fluids depending on the vehicle type.
REQUIREMENTS
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent (preferred).
Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record (required).
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The TXM Technician must be able to stand, bend, and stoop for extended periods of time. The technician must work in an environment that can experience extreme hot and cold temperatures, lift up to 50 lbs multiple times a day, and may be exposed to minor dust, vibration, exhaust fumes, and other hazardous materials. Work pace is rapid with extended standing. TXM Technicians are required to wear uniforms and appropriate PPE; safety glasses are required in the service areas.
COMPENSATION:
$20–$25 hourly wage.
