Overview Oversees activities in the Central Warehouse related to shipping, receiving, storing, supplies and dispatch of materials to ensure effective and efficient operations and material transportation.
Responsibilities
Depending on the assigned department, perform tasks in shipping, receiving, inventory, small or large tools operations.
Adhere to all processes with minimal supervision.
Communicate deviations from standard processes to leadership and propose corrective solutions.
Safely load, transfer, and unload palletized and non‑palletized materials using assigned equipment.
Perform basic transactions in SAP and troubleshoot common errors to maintain accurate inventory data.
Be certified to inspect rigging materials.
Guide and coach peers and new hires on standard processes within the work area.
Other responsibilities as assigned.
Essential Functions
Stand for long periods and can climb stairs or ladders.
Lift, push, pull, or carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
Frequent walking, standing, looking up/down, balancing, stooping, twisting, kneeling, and bending.
Grip and manually manipulate items with repetitive motion (e.g., hand tools, turbine parts).
See and hear alarms and timers and follow verbal instructions; color differentiation may be needed.
Adapt to changing environment and demonstrate Vestas Core Values.
Support Continuous Improvement (CI) efforts.
Operate equipment safely per relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
Maintain regular attendance per the attendance policy.
Maintain personal integrity and work both individually and as part of a team.
Education, Training, & Skills Required
1‑year experience in a warehouse, distribution center, or production environment.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge of stock control, inventory management practices and procedures.
Experience operating a forklift and reach truck.
Experience working with SAP.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions precisely.
Reading and interpreting basic drawings, schematics, and process documents.
Basic computer literacy and beginner level Microsoft Office skills.
Physical demands as described in the job description.
Terms
Occasionally: 1‑33% of time or 1‑100 repetitions/day.
Frequently: 34‑66% of time or up to 500 repetitions/day.
Constantly: 67‑100% of time or more than 500 repetitions/day.
