Job Summary The Line Service Technician is responsible for providing fuel, oil, hangar and tie‑down storage, lavatory service, courtesy car transportation, luggage handling, and interior and exterior services to customers and other departments. Additional responsibilities include commercial ramp, aircraft cleaning, operations, and commissary duties as required. The Operations Manager is the immediate supervisor, and the technician also reports to the Airline Service Manager while working with commercial aircraft.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Drive and service fuel trucks and ground support vehicles, and service aircraft and ground support vehicles with fuel, oil, and all other supplies and materials required by the aircraft or vehicle; operate and fill fuel trucks and perform minor maintenance on this equipment.

Park, tow, and store aircraft in accordance with the TDA Aircraft Towing and Hangar Storage Policy; direct movement of aircraft and vehicular traffic on the ramp and in and about the shops and hangars; secure all parked aircraft at all times.

Assist all aircraft crews and passengers by courteously providing required services and aid in en‑planing and departing passengers’ baggage and cargo.

Wash, polish, wax, and clean the interior and exterior of company and itinerant aircraft as directed.

Wash and clean mobile equipment, run local errands, and transport people as required both on and off the airport.

Police the ramp area in and about hangars, lounge areas, shops, and auto parking areas.

Maintain cleanliness and maintenance of the company’s facilities, including building, hangar floors, shops, administration lobby, maintenance areas, employee locker rooms, lavatories, and perform trash removal as required.

Assist with snow removal.

Raise and relay radio and telephone calls ensuring information is acted upon by the proper department.

Complete necessary receipts, fuel tickets, credit card and in‑house account records.

Receive and account for all sales transactions during the shift.

Be available to work varied hours, including swing and graveyard shifts, plus weekends and holidays.

Handle all cash transactions in accordance with approved procedures.

Perform passenger services and ground handling for charter flights.

Deice aircraft in accordance with specified standards.

Load and unload baggage on and off the aircraft.

Marshaling in planes and pushing back the aircraft.

Attend required training.

Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Physical Demands Strenuous lifting and pulling of fuel hoses (75–80 lbs). Climb and stand on step ladders while connecting fueling hoses overhead. Bend and stoop to manipulate hoses and connect aircraft tow bars. Carry a 70‑lb suitcase from the floor to 18 inches and carry a 70‑lb suitcase in front of you with both hands for a distance of up to 25 feet. Must have sufficient vision and physical dexterity to perform repetitive tasks and motions, including bending at the waist and knees, squatting, kneeling, crawling, twisting, and sustaining those positions for extended amounts of time.

Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

The number of weekly hours may vary due to seasonal flight changes.

Education High School Diploma or GED required. Some college preferred.
