Quality Assurance Technician
opening. This role plays a critical part in ensuring our CNC‑machined components meet customer and internal quality standards. This position is primarily responsible for inspecting machined parts for cosmetic and physical nonconformities prior to shipment or further processing. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, methodical, and takes pride in delivering top‑notch quality components.
Key Responsibilities
Perform visual and physical inspections of CNC‑machined components to identify cosmetic defects such as:
Scratches, dents, burrs, nicks, or surface imperfections
Tool marks, chatter, or finish inconsistencies
Inspect parts for material defects, including cracks, porosity, etc.
Verify parts meet customer specifications, drawings, and quality standards.
Use basic inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, height gauges, and visual aids.
Accurately document inspection results and nonconformances.
Communicate quality issues clearly to machinists, supervisors, and quality personnel.
Support root‑cause investigations by providing detailed defect observations.
Ensure proper handling and protection of finished components.
Maintain a clean and organized inspection area.
Follow all safety, quality, and company procedures.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify subtle cosmetic imperfections.
Ability to read basic part drawings or work instructions.
Comfortable standing for extended periods and handling small to medium‑sized parts.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in quality inspection or CNC manufacturing.
Experience inspecting surface finishes, coatings, or precision‑machined components.
Familiarity with ISO, AS9100 or other quality management systems.
Experience using inspection tools and gauges.
