Discover your exciting role The ELV Engineer needs to handle large scale projects during the design and construction phase with overall responsibility for technical issues. Preparation of Basic Design, Front End Engineering Design and detailed design of the Process Control System, Building control System and other Extra-Low Voltage systems for the specific project.
Explore your tasks and responsibilities
Develop Sequence of Operations/Logic Diagrams and cause and effect
Checking the Design Documents, Studies, Specifications, datasheets and Calculations prepared by other Instrument Engineers
Execute/Expedite Extra-Low Voltage (ELV) system packages during construction phase of a project and taking responsibility for the assigned packages
Co-ordination on scheduling activities for Extra Low Voltage (ELV) supervisors on a project to ensure timely delivery at project milestone dates
Interfacing with other trades during design phase and incorporate their requirements into Extra-Low Voltage system design
Technical Evaluation of vendor submissions including approval of shop drawings
Preparing the procedure for testing and commissioning of individual system and assisting in loop commissioning of the controls system
Guiding Designer/Draftsman for preparing cable routing plan, hook-up drawings, wiring drawings
Other duties as assigned
Show your expertise Minimum Required
Degree in Instrumentation/Controls/Automation
Diploma holders with additional 2 - 3 years’ experience unless equated with professional certifications
Experience in leading the design and construction of process control and instrumentation systems of industrial and intelligent building and fast track projects
Skills & Knowledge
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software like Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, PDF document generation and management
Technical knowledge and understanding of Engineering Design and Construction for field instrumentation, Distributed Control System, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition, Programmable Logic Controller, Direct Digital Controller, Fire and Gas detection & alarm, Safety Instrumented Systems, Closed Circuit, Access Control, Communication and Information Technology systems
Understanding of safety and environmental requirements and risk assessment
Technical knowledge and understanding of project execution processes in a fast-track environment
Extensive knowledge of local code of practice and International Standards for design implementation
