Principal Computer Vision / Perception Engineer

Role Overview We are seeking a
Principal Computer Vision / Perception Engineer
to lead the design and deployment of production‑grade vision pipelines. This role combines deep technical expertise with leadership across cross‑functional teams, including robotics, autonomy, and platform engineering.
You will be responsible for ensuring that sensor data, perception algorithms, and model outputs meet high standards for accuracy, reliability, and scalability in real‑world environments.
Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and deployment of computer vision pipelines in production
Process and integrate sensor data from cameras, LiDAR, radar, or other modalities
Optimize perception models for accuracy, latency, and robustness
Collaborate closely with robotics, autonomy, and platform teams to ensure seamless integration
Identify and solve scaling and reliability challenges in real‑world systems
Mentor engineers and contribute to technical strategy for perception and vision systems
Qualifications
7+ years of experience in computer vision, perception, or related fields
Deep experience with production CV pipelines and model deployment
Strong understanding of sensor data processing and multi‑modal perception
Backgrounds in autonomous systems, robotics, industrial AI, or medical imaging are highly relevant
Familiarity with frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, OpenCV, ROS, or similar
Proven ability to lead technical projects and mentor engineers
Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills
