Bookbinder/Saddle Stitch Operator - 2nd Shift *$5k Sign-On Bonus* Arandell is seeking a skilled Bookbinder/Saddle Stitch Operator for the second shift (Monday through Friday, 3 PM – 11 PM). Candidates will operate bindery stitcher or perfect binder machines, ensuring high-quality output and safe production.

Base pay range:

$27.25/hr – $30.00/hr

Additional shift details: The position offers opportunities for overtime and a competitive base rate heavily dependent on experience.

What You’ll Do

Set up and control the assigned machine for each job specified.

Maintain regular machine maintenance and keep the work area clean and ready.

Check and control product quality on a running basis.

Manage and direct technicians, ensuring proper material use and productivity.

Run the machine at optimal production speeds based on goals set by the Bindery Manager or Supervisor.

Seek assistance when necessary to resolve setup and running issues that slow production.

Provide feedback to management when slowdowns or issues occur on machines.

Participate in regular evaluations of technicians as needed.

Perform all special duties assigned by the Bindery Manager and/or Supervisor.

Carry out all tasks safely and in accordance with safety rules and requirements.

Maintain a positive customer‑relations approach toward visitors, customers, and employees.

Keep matters involving the Bindery Department and Arandell confidential.

What You’ll Need

High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous experience with stitching and/or bindery machinery.

Ability to use logic and conceptual thinking skills.

Strong mechanical aptitude.

Effective written and oral communication skills.

Willingness to work weekends or overtime and respond to manufacturing questions as needed.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Physical Demands

Frequent sitting and use of hands to type, finger, handle, grasp or touch objects and tools.

Frequent talking or listening.

Occasional standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, squatting, stooping, crouching, crawling, twisting, bending, reaching.

Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
