These positions will work at an assigned park location. Currently, there is a vacancy in the West Area at Creve Coeur Park but the list being created from this posting may be used to fill vacancies throughout the County parks system.
The typical starting salary range is between $16.39 - $19.67 per hour, depending on the candidate’s qualifications and budgetary considerations.

Examples of Duties
Serves as a lead person of the crew in absence of the park supervisor.
Cleans and performs maintenance of restrooms, shelters, picnic sites, athletic fields, trails, amphitheater, and other facilities.
Mows and trims grounds.
Performs trash removal and pick-up.
Sets‑up equipment and materials for programs and events.
Breaks‑down and cleans up after programs and events.
Assists with snow and ice removal.
Performs various construction related activities.
Performs related work as required.
Minimum Qualifications Two years building and grounds maintenance experience preferably including experience in a lead or supervisory capacity; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Special Requirements Applicants must possess a valid driver's license.
Selection and Appointment A selection committee will evaluate the qualifications of each applicant based on education and experience, answers to the supplemental questions, employment references, and any other appropriate information. Candidates must earn a qualifying grade of 70 or more on the interview to be eligible for appointment. The top five ranking candidates will be certified to the Department Director/Appointing Authority for final decision. All applicants conditionally offered a merit position must submit to a urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment. The cost is covered by the County.
