About the Role POAH Communities is seeking a highly qualified individual to serve as
Maintenance Technician for Walnut Grove Apartments . Walnut Grove Apartments is a 176‑unit family development in Blacklick, Ohio, encompassing 50 one‑ and two‑story single‑family homes and 17 townhouse buildings. The property sits on 10.5 acres and includes two playgrounds, a community building, and a laundry room.
Responsibilities
Insure a safe, secure, and comfortable living environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
Maintain knowledge of relevant laws, EPA, and OSHA regulations.
Monitor property condition continuously; initiate corrective actions for unsafe conditions.
Schedule and perform routine preventative maintenance on all appropriate equipment.
Perform work‑area clean‑up and safety‑related duties.
Diagnose and execute minor and routine maintenance/repairs.
Ensure all make‑ready repairs and services are completed.
Inspect and coordinate all necessary make‑ready repairs and services.
Assist in keeping grounds neat and clean—rake, sweep, shovel as necessary.
Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year of experience in apartment maintenance.
High School diploma or GED required; HVAC certification preferred.
Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance coverage (personal vehicle may be required).
Flexible schedule, including weekends and on‑call availability as needed.
Skilled in the safe use and maintenance of hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment.
Ability to perform physical tasks 66‑100% of the time: standing, bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing stairs, climbing ladders, pushing/pulling, reaching above shoulder, lifting/carrying up to 75 lbs, reading maintenance forms and warning labels.
Comfortable working in all weather conditions.
