Duties include performing research to resolve inventory discrepancies, receiving and investigating material inspection communications, conducting physical inventory counts and location surveys, updating records, responding to defective material messages, assisting in quality control plan development, and operating Material Handling Equipment (MHE). Performs research to resolve inventory discrepancies. Receives communications concerning discrepancies involving material inspections, issues, shipments, receipts, storage, and inventory adjustment actions. Performs physical inventory counts, material inspections, and location survey checks. Investigates material and responds to defective material messages in support of the COSIS program. Assists in developing quality control plans and process improvement initiatives to enhance overall inventory accuracy. May operate MHE such as forklifts and stock selectors to move material. Requirements

Must be a U.S. citizen. Tour of Duty: Set Schedule. Security Requirements: Non-Critical Sensitive. Appointment subject to favorable suitability or fitness determination; unfavorable background checks cause removal. Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA): Non-Exempt. Selective Service Requirement: Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered or exempt. Recruitment Incentives: Not Authorized. Bargaining Unit Status: Yes. Pre-Employment Physical: Required. REAL ID or acceptable identification required for federal facilities. Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid MHE license, valid state driver’s license, and certifications required by installation and laws. Qualifications

To qualify for a Supply Technician, resume and documentation must support specialized experience, education, and required qualifications. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience directly related to the position, including conducting physical inventories, investigating discrepancies, and preparing investigation reports. Education: Graduate education considered at GS-05 level; unofficial transcripts acceptable at time of application. Physical Demands

Work involves researching, surveying, and counting all types of material, some heavy and bulky. May require operating MHE, handling, pushing, and lifting items weighing up to 70 pounds with assistance. Work Environment

Work performed indoors and outdoors with moderate risks. Employees may be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, gowns, safety shoes, goggles, hearing protection, and gloves. Benefits
