Your Role at Baxter As a Production Mix Operator, you are happiest when you are moving. Baxter’s manufacturing operations are around-the-clock to meet the needs of our customers. In this role you are responsible for performance of tasks related to drug formulation, weighing raw materials, cleaning, mixing sophisticated tanks and equipment, distilled water sanitization, filter integrity testing and documentation.
What You’ll Be Doing
Setting up equipment
Building and performing integrity testing on all production sterilizing filters
Making process adjustments in accordance with GMP’s and Plant Procedures
Being responsible for in‑process inspections and all related documentation in accordance to specifications
Preparing raw materials for mixing, including verification of lot numbers and weights
Taking batch samples with the corresponding batch record to laboratory for testing and quality using aseptic techniques
Operating multiple types of equipment related to the mix operation as well as hand‑operated equipment, such as calipers, scales, gauges, and other measuring devices
Performing drop sanitization and maintaining area housekeeping
What You’ll Bring
Must not be allergic to Penicillin or Cephalosporin Drugs
High School Diploma or equivalent is required
Visual acuity 20/20 Near Vision with or without corrective vision required
Must have good documentation skills, and understand, speak, read and write English in order to align with vital SOP’s, SPEC’s, Job‑specific training materials, GMP’s, and other manuals
Knowledge of aseptic manufacturing practices
Experience in GMP Manufacturing environment preferred
Must demonstrate proficiency in reading gauges, blueprints, pressurized systems, calibrated cylinders and templates
Frequent walking, bending, standing, stooping, squatting, climbing of step/ladders, and pushing and pulling of up to 65 pounds
Must be able to lift up to 55 pounds
Comfortable in wearing protective equipment with a respirator & work in confined spaces
Final candidate will be required to pass a post‑offer/pre‑employment job placement examination which will test the physical capabilities to perform the essential functions of a job
Must be comfortable working with pressurized equipment, work in –25 °F to 80 °F room temperature, work with hot surfaces and work in a wet environment
This position has a salary pay rate of $27.14 an hour. The pay rate is based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.
This is a 12‑hour 2‑2‑3 shift schedule. Day Shift from 6:00 am to 6:30 pm.
