Position Summary The Golf Course Superintendent is responsible for the overall maintenance, management, and conditioning of the golf course and related grounds. This role provides leadership to the agronomy team, ensures excellent playing conditions, and works closely with club leadership to support the club’s mission and standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Plan, direct, and execute all golf course maintenance and agronomic programs

Maintain championship-level conditions for greens, tees, fairways, and roughs

Develop and manage the annual agronomy and operating budgets

Supervise, train, and motivate the maintenance staff

Implement best practices for irrigation, fertilization, pest management, and turf health

Oversee equipment maintenance, replacement planning, and facility upkeep

Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations

Communicate regularly with the General Manager and relevant committees regarding course conditions and projects

Promote safe work practices and a positive team culture

Support long-term planning, renovations, and capital improvement projects

Qualifications

Degree or certification in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, or related field preferred

Minimum 3-5 years of golf course management or assistant superintendent experience

Strong knowledge of bentgrass and zoysiagrass management

Proven leadership, organizational, and communication skills

Budgeting and financial management experience

Pesticide applicator license (or ability to obtain)

Strong work ethic with flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed

Compensation & Benefits

85k to 95k
