Locations:
Independence, VA – River North Correctional Center (level 4 prison, approximately 1,000 adult male inmates); Bland, VA – Bland Correctional Center (level 2 and 1 facility, housing capacity of 652 male inmates).
Hours:
Full‑time. Monday – Friday, 7:30 am – 4:30 pm. 1‑hour unpaid lunch break (3 days week at River North Correctional Center & 2 days week at Bland Correctional Center).
Pay rate:
$29.81 /hr (≈ $62,000 annual). Candidates with LICSW, LCSW, CSAC, CADC, or equivalent license/certification eligible for $32.70 /hr ($68,000 annual).

Responsibilities
Monitor patient compliance with all program and DOC rules and regulations.
Perform assessments and evaluate inmates' needs.
Provide quality clinical services and case management in accordance with Spectrum’s clinical design and regulatory requirements.
Provide group treatment using Spectrum curriculum and following group facilitation protocol.
Complete all required documentation, outcome measurement tools, and reports within established timeframes.
Maintain records in accordance with Spectrum and VA DOC policies and procedures; keep CORIS screens accurate.
Participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning, case reviews, conferences, and other meetings as directed.
Maintain current clinical skills, competencies, licensure, and certification.
Serve as a role model/mentor for patients while maintaining professional boundaries.
Ensure program operates in accordance with Spectrum’s and DOC’s ethics and boundaries policies.
Provide referrals and aftercare services as required.
Qualifications
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in clinical psychology, education‑counseling, medicine, psychology, psychiatric nursing, rehabilitative counseling, social work, or a closely related field and a minimum of two years of supervised counseling experience.
Licensure (LICSW, LCSW, LMHC, LPC) or CSAC, CADC certification preferred.
DOC experience preferred.
Medication Assisted Treatment experience preferred.
Knowledge of local and regional community resources for substance use recovery and reentry stabilization.
