NC Associates is partnering with a leading SME business. They’re looking for an
Accounts Assistant
to join their finance team.
The Role: This is a full‑time, hands‑on Accounts Assistant position responsible for maintaining supplier accounts, processing high volumes of invoices, and ensuring payments are accurate and made on time. You’ll support the wider finance team with account reconciliations, assist with month‑end close activities, and play a key role in keeping day‑to‑day finance operations running smoothly.
Accounts Assistant Responsibilities:
Accurately process supplier invoices and match them to purchase orders.
Ensure timely supplier payments.
Reconcile purchase ledger accounts and chase any discrepancies.
Reconcile Bank Accounts
Post cash received
Chase overdue invoices
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
Be a proactive part of a busy, fast‑moving finance team.
Accounts Assistant Experience:
Previous experience in an accounts role team.
Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
Proficiency in accounting systems
Confident Excel skills (think pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Strong communication skills—friendly but professional.
