Summary Manages/tends to, Cabling machine(s) that cable primary conductors together with accessory materials to prepare for final Jacket extrusion. Read and follow the job travelers provided by scheduling. Verifies and test all wire and cable by using calipers and cutters. Determines the Correct outer Diameter, wall thickness, conductor gauge, and if the wire/conductor is centered. Locate primary conductors and load the reel payoffs. Load and un-load reels. Feed colored conductors through the Cabling apparatus in their proper order referenced by the traveler. Properly document the production paperwork and material tickets. Weld primary conductors together in concordance with safety procedures. Also, applies tapes and drain wires to several products per traveler. Quality assurance and verification is priority as a Cabling Operator. Completes any and all other duties requested or assigned.

Loads and off loads product.

Uses equipment and materials properly.

Strives to continuously build knowledge and skills.

Ensure cable is evenly wrapped.

Legibly write on all necessary documents (Labels Tickets & Travelers).

The ability to multi-task in all areas of position.

Perform routine quality checks on all wire and cable.

Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Follows policy and procedures

Is consistently at work and on time

Meets productivity standards

Understand the Quality Management System and understands how their jobs affect it.
