Assistant Case Manager (Case Aide) – Visitation
Location: 100 N Tonto Street, Payson, AZ 85541
Salary: $17.3484 hourly / $36,084.6700 annually
Grade: 14 | Closing Date: 1/6/2026
Job Summary At the Arizona Department of Child Safety (“DCS”), we champion families, caregivers, and communities. The Assistant Case Manager (Case Aide) – Visitation escorts and transports clients to DCS visitation meetings and documents observations, playing a vital role in protecting children and supporting families.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise visitation meetings among clients (parents and children)
Enter case notes into the computer-based Case Management System
Drive on state business to transport children to appointments
Perform other duties appropriate to the assignment
Alternative work hours may be required, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge Of
Computers and software (Microsoft Office Suite), mobile devices, digital calendars (Outlook) & video conferencing (Microsoft Teams)

Comply with casework principles and practices

Prepare written reports accurately in a prescribed format
Actively listen and provide supportive attention to clients
Acquire and renew CPR Certification
Selective Preference
Some college experience with credit hours in child development, rehabilitation, counseling, psychology, social services, sociology or related field
or 1 year experience in a child welfare environment, indirectly or directly working with clients, or experience working with children in a controlled environment (e.g., nanny, daycare, teacher’s aide)
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Valid Arizona issued driver’s license
Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Arizona Department of Public Safety Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
Selected candidates must pass a background investigation and DCS Central Registry check. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver license record checks and required training per Arizona Administrative Code R2‑10‑207.12.
