A Day in the Life at Lansing: CDL Driver
Driver’s day usually begins around 7:00 AM – sometimes earlier – and ends at approximately 4:30 PM – generally no weekend work (hours may vary by location). Home every night!
CDL Driver Responsibilities
Lives the mission statement.
Acts as a front‑line Lansing representative while providing outstanding customer service.
Splits time between making deliveries and working in the warehouse.
Uses a Moffett forklift to make deliveries.
Interacts with customers and/or crews at job sites.
Provides exceptional service to each Lansing customer and constantly strives to improve that level of service.
Keeps warehouse clean and orderly.
May be asked to perform other functions such as cycle counts, inventory, inside sales, etc.
CDL Driver Qualifications
CDL B (or A) license is required.
Clean driving record.
Experience with a Moffett forklift.
Ability to work independently with efficiency and focus, and as a contributing member of a larger team.
Ability and willingness to lift boxes weighing up to 70 pounds.
Experience with building products is very helpful.
Strong customer service skills, high integrity, and a positive attitude.
At least one year of driving experience.
Forklift certification and experience with a piggyback truck.
