Schedule: Full-Time | Monday-Thursday | 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM (40 hrs/week)

Reports To: Plant Manager
Position Summary The Production Operator (Blend Operator) is responsible for accurately preparing and blending food and ingredient batches according to production requirements, food safety standards, and written instructions. This role is hands‑on and supports equipment operation, sanitation tasks, documentation, and collaboration with warehouse and quality teams.
Key Responsibilities
Follow blend sheets and work orders to accurately manufacture batches
Weigh and stage raw materials; verify lot numbers for traceability
Operate blending equipment, sifters, scales, and metal detectors
Perform safety checks, sanitation, and pre‑/post‑operation inspections
Maintain organization and cleanliness aligned with GMP and HACCP regulations
Support warehouse functions including material handling and inventory staging
Assist in sanitation, preventative maintenance, and deep clean activities
Follow OSHA and company safety rules; report hazards immediately
Perform additional duties as assigned to support daily operations
Preferred Experience & Skills
1‑2 years in food production or manufacturing preferred
Knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, allergen controls, lot tracing, and sanitation
Ability to read batch paperwork, labels, and follow written instructions
Strong communication, teamwork, and attention to detail
Forklift or pallet jack experience helpful (not required; training available)
Education
High School Diploma or GED required
Physical / ADA Requirements
Stand for long periods in a production environment
Lift 55 lbs. or more regularly; push/pull drums with mechanical assistance
Work in temperature‑variable areas and climb ladders as needed
Operate blending equipment, pallet jacks, forklifts (if certified)
